With both captain Asamoah Gyan and assistant Andre Dede Ayew on the bench Colombus Crew right back Harrison Afful captains the Black Stars of Ghana in the the team's friendly with Congo Brazzaville.
The Black Stars are preparing for the 2017 Afcon qualifier with Rwanda in Kigali and are using the game against Congo as a preparatory game for the September 3 encounter with the Amavubi.
This comes as the first time the former Asante Kotoko right back is captaining the team for a major game since becoming a member of the Black Stars in 2008.
The Congolese president His Excellency Dennis Sassou N'guesso invited the Black Stars for the friendly to commission the new Kintete Stadium.
