Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah will delay his arrival for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Asamoah, 26, is expected to travel to Berlin with Juventus for their UEFA Champions League final against Barcelona on June 6.

The Ghanaian international is unavailable for the final game but will travel with the team as Old Ladies seek their third European crown at the expense of a Barcelona side with their sights set on a fifth title – and fourth in the past decade.

The former Udinese man will thus miss the international friendly against Togo on June 7 but will be available for the opener against Mauritius a week later.

The versatile player returns to the squad for the first time since November after being sidelined with a career threatening knee injury which ruled him out of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
