Rwanda football National team players will not have special incentive bonuses for beating Ghana at the 2017 Africa Cup Nationals qualifiers on Saturday at Amahoro National Stadium.

The Amavubi will maintain their winning bonuses if they beat the Black Stars in their Group H match even though the Ghanaians are high profile.

Even though the amount received by the players is unclear, the Amavubi received the full amount when they defeated Mozambique 1-0 in the opening qualifier in June and received half of the amount in their recent friendly against Ethiopia.

According to the Rwanda Football Association (Ferwafa) president, Vincent Nzamwita said “There are no special bonus for the players for beating Ghana. they have to motivate themselves because it is their work and they if they make the leaders happy we will recognize their work”

“They have to give their best for their country and we call the people to come to support their team and the team has good mood of winning,” Nzamwita said

Back in 2004, Rwanda secured their ticket to the AFCON finals after beating Ghana 1-0, the lone goal scored by striker Jimmy Gatete but since then has never qualified for the AFCON but Ghana has been qualified for all Africa Cup of Nations after failed 2004.

Rwanda will be seeking to register a good result against Ghana to be able to remain on course of qualifying for 2017 Africa Nations Cup finals to be held in Gabon.
