Black Satellites striker Jonah Osabutey has commended the teaming fans at Cape Coast for their massive support during the 1-0 win over Senegal on Friday despite Ghana’s inability to qualify for the championship next year.

Ghana lost 2-3 on aggregate to the Young Lions of Terrenga on aggregate despite the lone goal victory on Friday but the Tema Youth forward applauds the local fans for their support.

The disappointed 19-year old took to facebook to thank the fans for their support, consoling them for the team’s inability to make it to the 2017 U20 AFCON in Zambia.

“We never wished for this but the Good Lord knows best. Thanks for the massive support fans,” he wrote.

Ghana failed to overturn a 3-1 first leg defeat suffered in the hands of the Senegalese two weeks ago in Dakar.
