Ghana are not planning to play Malaysia next month ahead of the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Widespread reports in the West African country claimed that the Black Stars are scheduled to play the Asian country in October.

According to the reports deputy Minister for Sports Oppong Asamoah claimed that the ministry has been approached to play Malaysia.

The report further claimed that the match has been lined up to help the Black Stars prepare for their start of the 2018 World Cup in November.

However, insiders close to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) say there is no such friendly planned with Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

The Black Stars have already agreed to face Canada who are rated as tougher than Malaysia and can give Ghana a better test.

With the friendly scheduled to take place in the USA, FIFA regulations won't permit Ghana to play in two different continents in a one week.

Ghana are preparing to face the winner of Lesotho and Comoros in the World Cup qualifiers in November.
