Petr cech (chelsea to Arsenal, €14.1million): The Arsenal goalkeeper may have endured a nightmare debut, but he is still expected to be a good signing ultimately, and he doesn’t have too much competition in terms of goalkeeper purchases.
Matteo Darmian (Torino to Man United, €17.9million): The Italian international seems to be a good buy and had a very encouraging debut against Tottenham on Saturday.
Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton to Liverpool, €17.6million): Clyne looked excellent for Southampton last year and had a decent debut against Stoke on Sunday.
Toby Alderweireld (Atletico Madrid to Tottenham, undisclosed): Impressed for the Saints in a loan spell last year, and is consequently expected to improve a Tottenham defence that looked shaky at times previously.
Angelo Ogbonna (West Ham to Juventus, €11.1million): He may have been unsure where he was, but Ogbonna appears to be an excellent signing on the basis of his debut against Arsenal on Sunday.
Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich to Man United, €20.3million): Schweinsteiger came on against Tottenham last weekend, and immediately looked at home at Old Trafford, shouting instructions and dictating the play.
Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton to Man United, €35.2million): To sign a midfielder of proven Premier League quality will surely provide a boost to United this year.
Xhedran Shaqiri (Inter to Stoke, €16.9 million): Only confirmed today, Shaqiri’s purchase is the latest example of Stoke’s increasing ambition under Mark Hughes.
Raheem Sterling (Liverpool to Man City, €69million): He may have been an expensive signing, but it would hardly be a surprise if Sterling went on to have an influential season in a City shirt.
Memphis Depay (PSV to Man United, €43.7million): He had a quiet debut against Spurs, but hopes remain high that the young Dutch winger will make a significant impact at Old Trafford.
Christian Benteke (Aston Villa to Liverpool, €45.8million): Another who had a somewhat anti-climactic debut, Benteke averaged roughly a goal every two games with Villa, and there’s no reason why he can’t build on that form at Anfield.
