Ex-Ghana international Abdul 'Golden Boy' Razak has confirmed he will take temporal charge of ailing Premier League side King Faisal till the end of the season.

Faisal dismissed Serbian Dragon Popadic on Wednesday for non-performance.

The 1975 African Footballer of the Year who picked a Caf license coaching badge on Thursday will attempt to rescue the Kumasi-based club from relegation.

They lie at a parlous 14th position on the league table and Asante Kotoko legend knows the enormity of the task ahead.

"They have been calling me and talking to me and I will be available to help them escape relegation," Razak said.

"Surely I will join them quickly now that I’m done with the course, so left wait and see how it goes."
