Abedi Pele to consider Kotoko offer

Ghana legend Abedi Pele says he will reconsider an offer to be the chief executive of local giants Asante Kotoko.

The 46-year-old is in hot demand on the local scene after leading his own club Nania FC to win the Ghana FA Cup.

The three-time African Player of Year once turned down the opportunity from Kotoko owner Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to become an administrator of the club.

But the former Ghana captain says despite being in charge of Nania, he will consider the offer from the King of the Ashanti because of their relationship.

"Nana is my dad and I enjoy the great relationship," Abedi Pele told the Ghana SportsNewspaper.

"You can't raise a team and let go just like that. Hey but I can't close the door to my great King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. So we will see."

Abedi, coached his Nania FC side to pip Asante Kotoko to lift the MTN FA Cup trophy last month at the Accra Sports Stadium.
