Abraham Basit has joined Israeli second-tier side Maccabi Umm el Fahem FC on a season's long loan from Hapoel Beer Sheva FC, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 22-year-old striker who played 24 times and netted 3 goals last term has agreed the deal to drop down so he can enjoy regular playing time.

He announced his presence in the Israeli National League with a superb hat trick in their opening League triumph against Hapoel Bney Lod over the weekend.

"I want to have regular playing time so I spoke with the team and they gave me on loan for a season," Basit revealed to GHANAsoccernet.com

"Since I left King Faisal to Israel, I have not had full playing time and so it disturbed my shape and performance.

"So, I decided to drop one level down and get more playing time and score goals and that may be the springboard from here."

Basit played in the Ghana Premier League three seasons ago with King Faisal before moving to Israel.
