Sulley Muntari wants AC Milan to focus on the next two matches

Sulley Muntari has admitted that AC Milan’s next two games are vital if they are to qualify for the Europa League.

The Rossoneri are currently seventh in the table having won five straight games under new Coach Clarence Seedorf.

But the Ghanaian midfielder has insisted that the team are now focused on doing well against Roma this Friday, and Inter a week Sunday.

“The whole squad is doing well and we hope to continue this run until the end of the season,” he told Milan Channel.

“These next two games are going to be difficult, but we can’t get ahead of ourselves – we must focus first on Roma.

“Only after that game can we think about the derby.

“We’ll go to the Olimpico and do what Mr. Seedorf tells us.

“Thankfully, everything is going well for us at the moment. We’re going match by match.”

Muntari then commented on Stephan El Shaarawy’s return to training after four months out.

“Everyone knows he is a great player. We’re all sorry that he has been out for so long, but that’s part of life.

“Hopefully this will make him grow as a person and a player. He’s always the first to arrive and the last to leave Milanello, so I’m sure he’ll do well.”
