Ghana star midfielder Michael Essien could stay put with Serie A giants AC Milan despite reports linking him with a move away from the Estadio San Siro.
New Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi has included the 31-year-old along with international team-mate Sulley Muntari in his 31-man squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.
Over the past few weeks, the former Chelsea star has been linked with several clubs including Turkish sides Galatasaray, Besiktas and Trabzonspor while Greek giants Olympiakos and Panathinaikos are both interested.
However, new Milan manager Inzaghi who has taken over from Clarence Seedorf, has shown he has plans for the experienced midfielder as he names him in his squad.
This could mean clubs with intentions of landing the midfielder who turns 32 in December must intensify their bids to stand any chance of signing him.
While on pre-season in the USA, Essien is expected to be in action for Milan as they face Olympiacos, Manchester City and Liverpool.
