AC Milan plot move for on-loan Barcelona winger

Despite enduring a disappointing loan spell at Fiorentina, Cristian Tello could remain in Serie A, as AC Milan are looking to sign the Barcelona man.

Tello initially joined Fiorentina in January 2016, before renewing his loan in the summer for the current season. However, the Spaniard has failed to impress for the Viola this term, with only three goals and six assists from 32 appearances.

This has not put Milan off though, and the Rossoneri are set to begin negotiations with Barcelona over a permanent move for Tello, according to Sport.

The Rossoneri had expressed an interest in the 25-year-old last summer, but missed out as Tello opted for a return to Florence.

The Viola hold an option to buy in their loan deal for the former Porto man, but are not expected to exercise their option, paving the way for Milan to complete a move for next season.

Tello made his international debut in a friendly against Ecuador in 2013, but has failed to add to his solitary cap.
