AC Milan say Kevin-Prince Boateng is not for sale

Milan have assured Kevin-Prince Boateng “is not on the market” after the Ghanaian arrived for a surprise meeting with directors and Coach Massimiliano Allegri today.

The midfielder was spotted at the club’s HQ in Via Turati this afternoon with his agents and left two hours later without speaking to the media.

He was asked if he was staying at Milan, but would only reply: “Good evening.”

There were fears Boateng was ready to follow up on his threat to quit Italian football after racist abuse during a friendly game with lower league side Pro Patria.

Galatasaray are said to be interested in Boateng, but Vice-President Adriano Galliani assured “he is not on the market.”

The Ghana international’s contract does not expire until June 2015. It is reported the meeting was to discuss his ‘tactical position.’

Allegri was also asked by waiting journalists whether Boateng would stay at Milan, but his reply was more cryptic. “Ask him.”
