AC Milan star Kevin Prince Boateng left out Cesena clash

Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng has been left out of AC Milan's squad to play Cesena in the Serie A on Sunday.

The German-born star is struggling with muscle problems which have led to the decision for him to be dropped from the squad.

Boateng is a key player for the Rossoneri and coach Massimilliano Allegri does not want to risk using Pato and Boateng because of their muscle problems.

With the clash with giants Juventus scheduled for next week, the AC Milan boss says risking the two players will be counter-productive.

“I don’t want to risk their muscle strains. It is an important match which we want to win to set us up for the game against Juve,” Allegri said.

Arsenal  are now behind them, Cesena ahead of them, and Juventus are occupying their thoughts.

Allegri has had a dream of a week between the come-back against Udinese and triumph in the Champions League.

Boateng scored for AC Milan when they thrashed Arsenal 4-0 in the Champions League in midweek.
