AC Milan's Sulley Muntari hoping for Juventus slip

Midfielder Sulley Muntari hopes AC Milan can pip Juventus to the Serie A title in the remaining matches of the 2011-12 campaign.

The reigning champions are now just a point behind in the title race after Juvenus drew 1-1 with Lecce on Wednesday.

Muntari is now praying for another Juve slip-up in the final two games as his team aims to retain the Scudetto.

"We’re happy to have played a great game even if we suffered a lot. It's not easy to play and to have to wait for the Juventus result as well, but that's the way it goes at the end of the season," Muntari told the official Milan website.

"We're a great team and we want to get as high on the table as we possibly can. We have two games left, and I pray that we'll be able to get past them (Juventus) in the league table."

Milan face cross-town rivals Inter and Novara in their final two matches this season.
