ACL 2017 MD4 - Group H: Jeju United 1-3 Adelaide United

Published on: 11 April 2017

Jeju: Adelaide United kept their 2017 AFC Champions League hopes alive on Tuesday evening with a 3-1 away victory over Jeju United in Group H.

Kim Jae-Sung gave Adelaide the lead after just seven minutes at Jeju World Cup Stadium with a powerful drive from outside the area, before the hosts immediately struck back through a Magno Cruz header.

However, following a first-half of pressure from Jeju, Adelaide’s Dylan McGowan rose highest from a corner just four minutes after the interval to restore the visitors’ advantage.

With 25 minutes remaining, Riley McGee then scrambled home a third to wrap up what was ultimately a comfortable three points for the Australian side and keep the race for qualification from Group H wide open.
