Adam Kwarasey faces more time on the sidelines, Ghana goalkeeper out until July

Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey is set for more misery on the sidelines- with a tore ligament expected to rule out the Portland Timbers safest pair of hands for a further 4-5 weeks, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Kwarasey was originally expected to miss only 4-6 weeks when he tore a ligament in his finger in April, but club officials have confirmed the Timbers shot-stopper could be out until early July.

This means the Ghana shot-stopper will be out much longer than expected.

The news will be a massive blow to Ghana coach Avram Grant who will be without his influential goalkeeper ahead of an international friendly against Guinea on May 28 in France.

However, the former  Stromsgodset captain could be available for his country's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius in September.
