Addy finalizes Guimaraes move from Porto

Posted On Saturday, 1st September 2012

Ghana defender David Addy sealed a two-year move to Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes on Friday.

The 22-year-old moves from giants FC Porto where he was handed little playing opportunities.

He was twice farmed out on loan first to Academica de Coimbra and then to Panetolikos in the Greek League where he made 25 appearances and scored two goals last season.

Addy, a left-back, can now get his career back on track and save his international career.

He was sought after by a host of clubs but Guimaraes moved faster to secure his signature on the transfer deadline day.
