Addy ready for Porto challenge

Ghanaian youngster David Addy says he is bent on making the grades at two-time European champions FC Porto after completing a move on Monday.

The 19-year-old starts training on Wednesday and should be ready for his debut this weekend against Naval 1º Maio.

Addy joined the Portuguese giants from Danish top flight side Randers FC in a move reported to be equivalent to 800,000 euros.

He is cooling his head on his shoulders for the big task ahead in his expected three-and-a-half year stay at the club.

"This is a big club and it comes with big pressure so I have to psych myself up for that. I want to be in the first XI and that will come with hard work," Addy told Ghanasoccernet.com

"I played in the Europa League this season at Randers and that has given me the experience to play for a club that is assured of playing in the Uefa Champions League."

Addy manned Ghana's left-back slot for the Fifa Under-20 World Cup winning team in Egypt last year.
