Hearts of duo Sammy Adjei and Osei Bonsu could face sanctions after exchanging angry words following their 2-0 defeat at New Edubiase.

In-form striker Emmanuel Baffour scored the opener to increase his goal haul to 21 but it was the second from Basit Adams that spat the confrontation between the experienced goalkeeper and his captain.

The former Sporting Mirren defender was believed to be unhappy with the second goal that was conceded by Adjei and expressed his frustration in the full glare of the fans.

Compounded by a run of no success in two matches, the capital-based side looked bereft of drive and determination, with Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Bekwai being a particular listless showing.

The defeat, sixth in the campaign suffered by the 2000 African Champions has sunk low confidence in the dressing room and that seem to have taken a toll on the players.

But they could  be sanctioned by the club for not exhibiting professionalism on the pitch.
