Adomah scores to end Bristol chain of defeats

Ghana international Albert Adomah scored the opener in Bristol City's 2-1 away win over Barnsley on Saturday in the Npower Championship.

Adomah put the Robins in front on 14 minutes, sweeping in his third goal of the season from Maynard's pass.

But Jim O'Brien dragged Barnsley level when beating David James from 10 yards out after good approach play from Jay McEveley.

City responded magnificently and finished the stronger of the two sides, Maynard netting his fourth goal of the season to give the Championship's bottom club much-needed relief after a depressing sequence of five straight defeats.
