Ghana youth midfielder Enock Adu Kofi's last-gasp penalty lifted Stabaek to a 2-0 victory and propelled them to the quarter-finals of the Norwegian Cup on Wednesday night.Â
Stabaek dominated the game and hoarded a 1-0 lead handed them by Ivorian international Luc Kassi and the chance came for them to top up their lead and put the game to bed, the 2007 Ghana U17 midfielder stepped up, aimed for the bottom right corner and picked his spot to send Bob Bradley's side through.
The 23-year-old, who is owned by Belgian side Club Brugge will join Swedish champions Malmo FF after the expiration of his loan deal on 31 July, has been one of Stabaek's main-men in the competition following his impressive showing in midfield and Wednesday's game proofed another testament of his influential play as he controlled the middle with hands of experience, sealing off any likely threats from the opposition.
Stabaek are billed to face Haugesund in their quarter-final test and Kofi's influence is expected to be crucial for them.
