Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams says he is determined to work hard to become the safest pair of hands for the Black Stars.

The shot stopper was the only locally based player called up by Kwesi Appiah for Ghana’s 2014 World Cup campaign and has been named again in the squad for the AFCON 2015 qualifiers against Uganda and Togo next month.

Adams was on Saturday named the best goalkeeper for the just ended First Capital Plus Premier League season.

He believes he has what it takes to be first choice for the Black Stars in the not distant future.

“We have very good goalkeepers in the country and we all learn from each other,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I am just happy the coach believes and knows what I am capable of.

“Yes we all fight to be number and I am confident that I will be the number one choice for the Black Stars very soon.”
