Aduana Stars coach Aristica Cioaba fears the lack of quality signing could derail his chances of wrestling the Premier League title from Berekum Chelsea.

The Romanian failed to qualify the club to the semi-final of the on-going GHALCA Glo G8 Cup in his first major assignment.

With the Glo Premier League opener on October 9 day looming, the 39-year-old has rued his inability to augment his squad as a major obstacle.

"Seriously, I would have wished to get some few more additions before the beginning of the season. We need players who are tested and strong for our campaign" Cioaba said.

"After watching the side in the G8 championship, I believe there are few things we need to put right in the team to help us challenge for honours.

"If I had my way surely I will look at new players for the defense and midfield for us this season before we play Liberty."

Aristica has a one-year renewable mandate with Aduana and they open their campaign at Liberty Professionals.

He last coached Jordanian club Shabab Al-Ordon in 2010.
