Aduana Stars coach Abdulrahman Ameyaw says he is surprised by Hearts of Oak's struggle in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians have slumped into the relegation zone following their 1-0 defeat at Aduana at the weekend.

Hearts' camp has been rocking in recent weeks due to consistent poor results which saw coach Herbert Addo part ways with the club.

His interim replacement Eddie Ansah had to endure a baptism of fire in his first game in charge at Aduana.

Victorious coach Abdulrahman Ameyaw lauded Hearts for their sterling performance and says he is surprised by their struggle this season.

"Hearts played very well and you wonder how come they are in such a position," he said.

"They were fantastic in the second half."
