Aduana Stars coach J.E Sarpong says the surprise home defeat suffered at the hands of Bechem United is normal of football.

The Fire club succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to the promoted side despite taking a first half lead.

Aduana had won two games on the bounce prior to their midweek clash against Bechem on Wednesday.

The relative superior form of Aduana against Bechem pointed to a certain win for Dormaa-based side.

Coach Sarpong’s team however suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat before their always expectant home crowd at the Agyemang Badu Park.

Sarpong who has since taken the defeat in his stride is advicing fans not to always expect a win at home since ‘this is football’.

“We played very well in the first half but loss in concentration on the part of our defenders cost us,” he said,

“The league is not easy as people think. This is football, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

“We won away the last time and this time we have lost at home, this is football.

“We now look to prepare for our next game against Berekum Chelsea.”
