Premier League Champions Aduana Stars are set to renew the contract of Coach Yussif Abubakar after coming out to refute reports that the gaffer has been sacked.

Reports were rife on Monday that the former Accra Hearts of Oak Coach has been sacked following the club's poor run of form in the current campaign.

However, C.EO of Aduana Alert Commey cleared those specculations on Happy FM's Anopa Bosuo Sports. He stated,"It is not true that we have sacked our head coach, Yusif Abubakari.”

“Dormaahene is a man of integrity. I don’t know anyone called Rashford Gyan, I can confidently tell you that Dormaahene has not met with anyone with that name. Agents are sending their CVs for the coaching job but as at now, nothing has happened. I can only tell you that Yusif Abubakari is still the head coach of Aduana Stars.”

Meanwhile, in some latest developments from the camp of the "Ogya Boys", the club's PRO has revealed Coach Yussif Abubakar is being offered a new contract together with seven players, whose names are not out yet.

"We are talking to coach Yusif Abubakar for a possible that contract renewal, he has two months left on his contract," Evans Oppong Maestro told Oyerepa FM.

"Not only him but also other 7 players, some have 1 week left on their contract others have months to go."

"Playing the league alongside the confederations cup is a reason we have not been able to settle on anything but we hope to do so soon for the players and the coach."
