Aduana Stars have appointed Kwabena Ameyaw as the substantive coach of the side, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 2010 Premier League champions have been without a substantive coach following the departure of Romanian Aristica Cioaba at the tail end of last season.

The decision to promote Ameyaw who served until now as the assistant and caretaker coach was unanimously arrived at by the Management and the Board of the Dormaa-based club.

“The club’s board and management have resolved to hand the reigns of the team permanently to our caretaker coach Kwabena Ameyaw,” Aduana Operations Officer told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“We are confident in his (Ameyaw) abilities and we pledge to give him the support needed to ensure he succeeds with the club.”

Aduana Stars won the league trophy in 2010 in just their debut campaign in the Ghanaian top flight.

They hope to relive their glory days when the season commences in October.
