Aduana Stars have arrived in Accra for Premier League opener

Dormaa-based Aduana Stars have landed in Accra for their season opener against Tema-based International Allies on Sunday amidst league injunction claims.

The 2010 title-winners arrived with a contingent of an 18-man squad plus technical team and officials in the Greater Accra on Thursday and are based in Amasaman - a town in the outskirts of Accra.

Ahmed Nurudeen's men have made no secret of their intentions to reclaim the league title they won on their debut appearance in the Ghanaian top-flight six years ago.

Aduana open their season with a thrilling away clash with Inter Allies this weekend.

Allies and Aduana have shared the spoils in their four-time meeting in the league with each winning twice. Aduana's last trip to the Tema Park brought a 2-0 defeat last July but won the last game between the two sides 1-0 with striker Richard Arhin scoring the solitary goal at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park.

An official of the club has stated they are set for their season opener and will not be taken off balance by any claims of injunction.

The Ghana FA have insisted the league season will go ahead despite a claim of injunction by a fan who aligns himself with a third-tier side Real Atletico with the club distancing themselves from him.
