Aduana Stars captain Emmanuel Akuoku has set his eyes on leading the side to the group stages of this season's CAF Champions League.

The Fire Boys will go into the game against ES Setif with a slender lead after beating the Algerian side 1-0 in the first leg at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park.

The Dormaa-based side need to avoid defeat to become the second Ghanaian club to qualify to the money zone since Berekum Chelsea achieved that feat in 2012, and Akuoku says they are poised to do just that.

“Our focus is to get the victory on Sunday” he told Kumasi based Kessben FM. “We’re very confident that. We’re going to qualify. We don’t care about intimidation. We’ve experienced a lot of intimidation before. We know definitely they will maltreat us, but we aren’t focusing on that. We’re only focused on how to win to get to the money zone. That’s what we are thinking about” he stated.

The bulky defender also touched on the Sassraku-Elvis Opoku saga and insisted that all is well in camp and the bad blood between the two has been resolved.

“Everything has been sorted out. There’s no problem between them. We’ve paired Elvis Opoku and Derrick Sasraku to sleep in one room. They even eat together during breakfast. Everything is fine in camp. What happened is a thing of the past. They’ve forgiven each other. The issue is dead now. Everyone is focused on the game” he said.
