Aduana Stars have denied signing former Asante Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed but confirm there have been talks.

The local media on Thursday claimed the Dormaa-based side has penned a two-year deal with the 2014 CHAN star.

Mohammed is available on a free agent after terminating his contract with cash-strapped Libyan side Al Ittihad Tripoli.

But Aduana CEO Albert Commey says there is no deal for the influential versatile player.

“It is not true we have signed Yahaya Mohammed,” Commey told GHANASoccernet.com. “We have been inundated with calls but this news and I must say it is not true.”

Aduana, who won the league five years ago, ended the first round of the season in third place- four points behind leaders AshantiGold.
