Aduana Stars defender Godfred Saka has jumped to the defense of his goalkeeper Stephen Adams following criticism of his performance in their 3-1 defeat to Kotoko in the MTN FA cup clash.

Adams was widely blamed for his sides defeat at the hands of Kotoko in the MTN FA cup semi-final tie.

The Ghana international himself admits his performance on the day lacked the intensity of a goalkeeper of his stature but Saka says it’s a team sports and one person should not be singled out.

“As far as I am concerned football is a team effort and one man cannot be the reason that the entire team lost,” Adams said

‘”I do not see the reason why our defeat should be placed at the doorsteps of Adams alone.’”
