Aduana Stars forward Daniel Darkwah reveals title winning ambition of the club

Aduana Stars forward Daniel Darkwah says the Dormaa-based side is highly poised to win the upcoming league hence augmenting their squad with other players.

Adauna Stars won their maiden league after gaining promotion in 2009 and are charged to win their second title after six years fruitless attempts.

The side that placed third last season has been augmented with the arrival of former Bechem United best player Noah Martey as well as evergreen former WAFA captain Zakaria Mumuni.

Daniel Darkwah who is one of the ever-improving players on the Ghanaian scene believes the arrival of the two in addition to experienced Yaya Mohammed and Richard Mpong is an indication of how they are charged for the title.

“Yes because I know with players like Noah, Mpong, Zakaria and Yaya, we will bring out our best to win this season’s league,” Darkwah told GHANAsoccernet.com

“If you see the players we have put together with the presence of Saka, Adams and Akuoko, nobody should tell you what we want to do. Winning the league is our main priority and nothing will stop us,” he added.

The Aduana Stars forward who was a target for both Kotoko and Hearts was nearly scooped by AshantiGold SC but he chose to extend his contract with the Dormaa-based side for two more years.

Adauana stars have been highly tipped by many to topple the other clubs to the title but their performance at the FirsTrust G6 Tournament raised doubts about their preparedness for the title.
