Ghanaian champions Aduana Stars are angry that their striker Bernanrd Dong Bortey is touting himself to rivals Kotoko when he still has a running contract with the club.

The ex-Hearts of Oak hitman has not hidden his desire to play for the Ghanaian giants after coach Bogdan Korak expressed interest in him.

Bortey has since gone on radio in Ghana to declare his intention of playing for Kotoko.

Aduana, who have been reluctant to release the player in the past,  now say Bortey will be allowed to leave after the end of the season if the deal is right.

“Nobody can stop a player if he thinks he wants to move on and so we won’t block any move to Kotoko or any other club but that will be done at the end of the season’. Aduana spokesman Kwame America told Peace FM.

“We’re not happy he openly went public on his desire to play for Kotoko while contracted to Aduana Stars and that for me was highly unprofessional but nevertheless we’ll sit down with him and if we think it’s in our interest, we’ll allow him to move on.”

Bortey once took an enticement fee from Kotoko and later swerved the club to sign for sworn rivals Hearts of Oak in 2001- a move that infuriated Kotoko fans.

Kotoko fans are not keen on their team signing Bortey.
