Ghana goalkeeper Stephen Adams has reiterated his love for Hearts but insists he will keep faith with Aduana Stars.
The 24-year-old has been a long-term target of Hearts but former coach David Duncan revealed this week the club decided against signing him when the opportunity presented itself.
Adams carved a niche for himself with the recently concluded CHAN tournament where he shone.
Adams, has revealed his undying love for his boyhood club but says he wonââ¬â¢t play for them,
ââ¬ÅI have supported Hearts since I was a kid but I donââ¬â¢t want to play for them," Adams, who led the home-based Black Stars to a runner-up finish at the CHAN, is quoted byà Allsports.
ââ¬ÅWhen Duncan was the coach of Hearts, I spoke to some officials of Hearts but I refused to join them.
ââ¬ÅI love to play where I am now. I donââ¬â¢t want to disappoint Aduana Stars because theyââ¬â¢ve done a lot for me and I want to serve them for more years.ââ¬
The agile goalkeeper is in firm position to earn a place in the Ghana squad ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil in June.
