Ghana goalkeeper Stephen Adams has reiterated his love for Hearts but insists he will keep faith with Aduana Stars.

The 24-year-old has been a long-term target of Hearts but former coach David Duncan revealed this week the club decided against signing him when the opportunity presented itself.

Adams carved a niche for himself with the recently concluded CHAN tournament where he shone.

Adams, has revealed his undying love for his boyhood club but says he won’t play for them,

“I have supported Hearts since I was a kid but I don’t want to play for them," Adams, who led the home-based Black Stars to a runner-up finish at the CHAN, is quoted by Allsports.

“When Duncan was the coach of Hearts, I spoke to some officials of Hearts but I refused to join them.

“I love to play where I am now. I don’t want to disappoint Aduana Stars because they’ve done a lot for me and I want to serve them for more years.”

The agile goalkeeper is in firm position to earn a place in the Ghana squad ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil in June.
