Aduana Stars most experienced player, Yaya Mohammed has revealed that his target ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League is not to win the goal-king but to help his new side do well in the league.

Yaya joined the Dormaa-based side on a two year deal after terminating his contract with Libya giants, Al Ahli Tripoli.

In the maiden edition of the FirsTrust G6 Tourney his side lost the trophy to Asante Kotoko by going down 1-0 in the final match.

But the former Asante Kotoko midfielder scored two goals in three games making him the joint top-scorer with Kotoko’s Kwame Boateng.

Ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League, Yaya says he has taken his sights off the goal-king, stating that his target is to help Aduana Stars do well.

“I’m not thinking about the goal-king. When the league starts my target is to help Aduana Stars do well. Many people will be thinking that I will be thinking of winning the top scorer award but that is not my target,” Yaya opined.

The former OG Nice player will be one of the experienced legs in the league after playing for clubs like, Tema Youth, Asante Kotoko and Amidaus Professionals.
