Aduana Stars trainer Yusif Abubakar says his side are not guaranteed the Ghana Premier League title next season after winning the G6 tournament.
The Dormaa-based side beat Hearts of Oak on penalties at the Baba Yara Stadium two weeks ago.
Aduana were runners-up in the league last season and pundits believe they can go one better.
"It's only in Ghana that sometimes when a club finishes in a very good position they should go more than that the following season," Abubakar said.
"Ashanti Gold SC won the league the previous time but their performance wasn't good in the league last term.
"It's not compulsory that if Aduana Stars finished second last season definitely they must win the league next season.
"It is also going to be a good thing for me to win the premiership with them. I have to control the temperature."
The Fire club are expected to make amends in the 2016/2017 season by clinching the top flight after missing out last time with just two games to end the season.
