Ghana Premier League emerging force Aduana Stars have strongly entered the race to sign WAFA youngster Gideon Waja with a lucrative offer.
The Fire Club have held advanced negotiations with their WAFA counterparts and are expected to wrap up the deal in the coming days.
WAFA have confirmed receiving an official bid from Kotoko who have failed to make any follow up to the moves.
However the Dormaa Ahenkro-based side are actively pursuing their interest in the highly-rated midfielder.
A WAFA insider is quoted as saying on Kumasi-based Kessben FM: "Kotoko only wrote to us to inquire about his availability. Aduana also expressed interest and we're in talks with them. I can say Aduana is the club which is close to signing him."
WAFA sold youngster Zakaria Mumuni to Aduana Stars last season and are likely to build their rappour with the sale of Waja to the Fire men.
