Aduana Stars have slapped striker James Abban with an indefinite suspension for admitting to the charge of ‘misinforming’ the public over an alleged gun threat by coach Milisav Bogdanovic.

The former Hearts of Oak striker claimed he was threatened with a gun by the expatriate trainer following heated exchanges.

Aduana Stars in a press release announced the sanctions on the striker after setting up a committee to investigate the serious allegations made by the player.

“Due to the developments leading towards our First Capital Plus League match against Wa All Stars, the following facts were established,” portions of the club’s press release read.

“The player denied before the committee that the head coach pulled or threaten him –James Abban – with a gun.

“Number two, the player also apologized for misinforming the media that the coach threatened him with a gun.

“Three, he apologized for the unfortunate misbehaviour against the two coaches – that is the coach and his assistant.

“Under the circumstance, the player has been suspended indefinitely from the club’s activities and must retract and apologize within two weeks of all unfortunate statements made in the media.

“He must also apologize by writing unconditionally to the board, management, head coach and his assistant.”
