Aduana Stars target top 4 finish next season despite revamping the team

Aduana Stars CEO, Albert Commey has disclosed that despite the strategic signings being done by the club, their target next season will be to finish in the top four.

According to the former Hearts of Oak Communications Director, the club is in a transitional period of transforming the playing body.

He added that it will not be professional to overburden the playing bady with ambitious targets knowing very well that most of the players have never played together.

Commey who had earlier revealed that their player age bracket this season will not go beyond twenty-five noted that the club is looking at putting a young team together and winning the league is not their target.

“We are in a transitional period of transforming the club to a different level. That is why we are not entertaining players we perceive are over-aged,” he told Ghanasoccernet.com

“We are looking at putting a young team together with an average age of not more than twenty-five. So it will not be prudent to ask for more from such a young team.”

“Even though it is too early, our target for next season will be to finish in the top four. If anything comes in addition, we shall welcome it,” he added.

Aduana Stars finished third in the just ended season after a poor show which nearly got them relegated last season.
