The race to clinch the Ghana Premier League title is getting keener with four matches to end the season.

Wa All Stars are currently on top with 45 points and are determined to win their first major trophy after so many years of playing in th Ghana Premier League.

But Aduana Stars winger Richard Mpong has promised the club's fans that they will clinch the ultimate despite lying 2nd on the league table.

Aduana Stars beat Ashanti Gold SC 2-0 on Sunday to maintain their spot on the log with only one point separating them from league leaders Wa All Stars.

"In football the most important thing at the end of ninety minutes is claiming all three points. Considering our position on the league table, we stand a better chance of winning the league" he told the media.

"I'm promising the Aduana Stars fans that we will win the league for them by all means," he added.

Mpong joined Aduana Stars after being transfer-listed by Asante Kotoko and has since been a great addition to the Dormaa side.
