New Aduana Stars signing Yahaya Mohammed admits the delayed start of the Ghana Premier League will affect the form of players.

The 2015/16 Ghanaian top flight has been delayed over a legal challenge on two promoted clubs to the league.

Dreams FC and Techiman City who emerged winners of their respective zones in the second tier league but their promotion is being challenged with one of such cases now with the Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS).

This is causing the delay of the start of the new season with the GFA insisting it will wait until all outstanding legal issues are fully exhausted.

And striker Yahaya Mohammed who is eager to get going in his return to the Ghanaian top flight with Aduana Stars says this will badly affect the form of players.

“The delayed start of the league will definitely affect our performance,” he said.

“It is like preparing very well for an exams only for you to be told it has been postponed.

“You then have to invest even more time and effort to prepare yourself all over again for the exams.”
