Saida: Sayed Mohamed Adnan scored a spectacular brace to seal all three points for Al Hidd as the Bahrainis handed Lebanon’s Safa SC a 2-0 defeat in Group B of the 2017 AFC Cup on Monday.
The central defender opened the scoring after just seven minutes with a towering header he sent into the top corner of Mohamad Taha’s goal before sealing the win with a sensational curling free kick that bent beyond Taha’s reach from almost 40 yards.
Al Hidd’s victory moves the club onto six points from four games while Safa remain rooted to the bottom of the group with a solitary point.
