AFC futsal development team visits Tajikistan

Dushanbe: An AFC futsal development team has recently made an asessment visit to Tajikistan in efforts to boost the fast-paced game to the next level in the Central Asian country.

The three-member delegation was received by Dilshod Juraev, Vice President of the Tajikistan Football Federation, who was delighted to have the team from the AFC Futsal Development Programme.

 “We will provide our best to assist and cooperate with the team and exchange ideas for the good of the game and we hope to gain as much knowledge as possible from this visit,” said Juraev.

Ali Targholizadeh, Director of the AFC Futsal and Beach Soccer Development Department, who led the delegation, presented on the game’s general outlook and current activities in Asia as well as explained the objectives of the visit.

“This assessment visit programme aims is to raise the standard of futsal in Asia,” he said. “Futsal is key to creating talented and skilful players for football. We will do our utmost to assist the TFF in all areas to make the fast-paced game more successful in the country.”

The AFC team carried out meetings with various futsal stakeholders, field visits and inspections during the assessment visit to Tajikistan, who appeared in the Group Stage of the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship back in February.
