AFC President extends condolences to family of late Syrian referee Sobh

Kuala Lumpur: Shaikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President, has sent his condolences to the Syrian Football Association (SFA) President Salah Eddin Ramadan after hearing of the death of leading Syrian referee Anas Sobh.

The AFC President extended his condolences to the family of Anas Sobh, 34, who died following a car accident.

He had been a referee since 1999, being involved in tournaments both inside and outside Syria as well as being an International Assistant Referee since 2012.
