AFC U-16 Championship 2018 Qualifiers Group J: Guam 1-14 Malaysia

Bekasi: Malaysia, despite having qualified for the AFC U-16 Championship 2018 as hosts, showed fine form in beating Guam 14-1 in a Group J qualifying tie at the Wibawa Mukti Stadium on Friday. 

Mohammad Ikhwan opened the scoring for Malaysia in the 11th minute, before Aiman Haikhal scored from a spot-kick four minutes later. 

Aleff Haedi then scored his first goal of the tournament in the 23rd minute. 

Malaysia were awarded their second penalty kick in the 30th minute after some rough play in the box, which Mohamad Faiz Khairi converted. 

Muhammad Alif scored in added time, to give Lim Teong Kim's side a comfortable advantage going into the break. 

Malaysia scored a string goals just six minutes into the second-half, with efforts from Harith Naem (48th), Aiman (49th) and Alif (51st) making it 8-0. 

Despite the comfortable lead, Malaysia continued to press forward against a beleagured Guam side as Muhammad Danish (59th), Muhammad Danial (67th) and Umar Hakeem (72nd) etched their names on the scoresheet. 

Both Danial and Danish scored their second goalsin the 77th and 81st minutes respectively. 

Guam, however, managed to pull one back in the 84th minute, but Malaysia had the final say with Aiman completing his hat-trick in the 87th minute. 

Singapore will play Japan later on Friday.
