A section of Ghanaian soccer fans have lauded the Black Stars technical manager Avram Grant for his strict supervision of the Black Stars in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

Reports say since the Black Stars arrived in Mongomo for the tournament, the management of the team had kept the team away from the public eye in their campaign at the AFCON 2015 and have succeeded in doing so.

According to the report, since the stars arrived in Mongomo, Avram Grant insisted that neither the media nor fans should be given access to the players and in a determined bid to keep them away from any possible distraction.

“This is what we want to see in Black Stars’ camp,” Akwesi Agyeman, a sports journalist said.

It was alleged that former Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah was dismissed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for alleged lack of control over the Stars players in Brazil World Cup in 2014 resulting in the indiscipline in the camp of Black Stars with such players as Michael Essien, Sulley Ali Muntari and others refusing to train.
