Ghana's group opponents at this month's Africa Cup of Nations could be heading for a bonus crisis as coach Shakes Mashaba says he is in dark about what has been planned as remuneration for his players at the tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

Bonuses are an issue which has dogged the South Africa national team at various tournaments over the years – most recently at CHAN last year.

Mashaba says is not part of negotiations with SAFA, so is reluctant to make a comment.

“Let me ask you to direct the question to SAFA, especially the CEO,” he says.

“I may say this and find out it’s not that.

“I know meetings have been held with players, but I didn't go deep into that. SAFA can give you definite answers and we can take it from there.”
