Senegal coach Alain Giresse says his side will be playing three finals during the Group stage of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Frenchman will start his campaign with the Lions of Taranga against Ghana at the Mongomo Stadium on 19 January.

Then they face South Africa, who denied defending champions Nigeria qualification and topped Group A four days later before another showdown with Algeria on 23 January.

Giresse says life would be tough for all the teams in the Group of Death in Equatorial Guinea.

"At the Nations Cup, we will play three finals and not mere meetings. It will be very difficult, we know, but we'll make do. We have inherited a tough draw, like all the other teams in the group," Giresse told Weekend Foot in an interview.

"You know, the three teams are really difficult to handle. Algeria, South Africa and Ghana are a team that have an excellent reputation on the African plan.

“So, it will be difficult, as I have said, for the other teams in this group. Our goal in this AFCON is to achieve a very good tournament. We will manage our games one by one, in order to move forward little by little.”
